Laminar IP’s patent prosecution team achieves honours in IAM Patent 1000 (2024)

We are delighted to announce that Laminar IP has been recognised as a leading firm and Partners Jiarne Hong and Mark Teoh as leading individuals for Patent Prosecution in the 2024 edition of IAM Patent 1000: The World’s Leading Patent Professionals.

The IAM Patent 1000 has become the definitive publication recognising the world’s leading patent service providers. To arrive at the rankings, the publication undertakes an extensive research process involving interviews with patent practitioners and their clients across the globe to identify leading firms and individuals across multiple jurisdictions.

Laminar IP joins a prestigious group of only 16 firms in Australia that have made the IAM rankings. This recognition is a direct reflection of Laminar IP’s commitment to providing exceptional services to our clients both locally and abroad.

Laminar IP and our team of leaders received the following commendation by IAM Patent 1000 2024:

Priding itself on providing high-quality, personalised, responsive and cost-effective services, independent IP boutique Laminar IP makes its debut in the IAM Patent 1000 this year. Engineering and medical technology are its particular strengths, though no technical field is beyond the wheelhouse of its multi-talented squad of patent attorneys. Driving the firm forward are founding partners Mark Teoh and Jiarne Hong. Dual-qualified Australia and New Zealand patent attorney Mark Teoh makes good use of his technical and multi-jurisdictional experience and qualifications to advise his following on commercially relevant IP protection. He receives glowing praise from patrons: “With over six years of working with Mark, we have found his approach to handling IP matters inherently advanced, thorough and excellent. He makes facts collation on our innovations easy, with friendly chats, and he always comes back with drafts that almost make it seem he was there from the inception of the innovative works. Above all, his ability to meticulously manage his time is what anybody wants for IP matters.” Meanwhile, mechatronics engineer Jiarne Hong has a wide knowledge base encompassing everything from mining, optical fibre and medical devices, to oil and gas, automation and robotics.
